These power distribution centers are protected by a GFCI module giving the user open neutral and reverse phasing protection. They are U.L. Listed for outdoor use and designed to stand up to the tougest of jobsite conditions. Each unit has been carefully assembled to provide the ultimate in electrical safety as well as meeting current OSHA standards. WHAT IT DOES AND HOW IT WORKS: This temporary power distribution center is rated for 50 amps at 220 volts. The distribution box breaks the current down into six, 20 amp 120 volt, individual GFCI protected circuits. In addition to these it also offers the user one 30 amp 250 volt and one 50 amp 125/250 volt output. The 50 amp 125/250 volt output allows the box to be run in a series with other boxes. To initiate this process, you need a 50 amp 125/250 volt power outlet receptacle at the main pole or generator. From there, you run your 6 gauge power cord to the box or boxes. Power cords come prewired in 50’ and 100’ lengths. It is difficult to generalize the parameters of the temporary power system. Each situation varies according to the length of cord running from the main pole, the number of boxes being used and the total current being drawn on the circuit. From our experience, under normal working conditions, the user may comfortably run two boxes up to 300’ from the pole. If you exceed this distance a voltage booster is recommended.
